Today in History:
1961: Three-week meeting of the executive council of the U.N. World Meteorological Organization in Geneva concluded, at which 18 national representatives (including A. A. Zolotoukhin of the U.S.S.R.) discussed general basis for international use of weather satellites. Dr. Francis W. Reichelderfer, Chief of the U.S. Weather Bureau, was a U.S. representative.
