Definition: Stefan-Boltzmann constant; sigma (Stefan, L. Boltzmann): The constant of proportionality present in the Stefan-Boltzmann law. It is equal to 5.6697 x 10-8 Watts per square meter per degree Kelvin to the fourth power (see scientific notation).
