Dewar

From Nick Greene, for About.com

Definition: Dewar: A container (akin to a thermos bottle) that keeps cold material cold. In astronomy, these are often used for liquid nitrogen (at 77K), but can also be used for solid neon (17K) or liquid helium (1.3K). Some astronomical detectors work better at cold temperatures.
