On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong stepped out of a thin oddly shaped box and into history. That box was the Apollo 11 Lunar Module, which Edwin Eugene "Buzz" Aldrin, Jr. had piloted to the surface of the moon. As Neil Armstrong made that final step from the Lunar Lander ladder, becoming the first man to step on the moon, he uttered that famous phrase, "That's one small step for (a) man; one giant leap for mankind."
