Polaris - The North Star

Polaris is also known as the North Star, because it is very close to the celestial North Pole, which aligns it with the geographic North Pole. Polaris is a Class F yellow supergiant star and is a "Cepheid Variable." It has a magnitude of 2.0 and is 384 lightyears away, which means very little for anyone who just wants to see the constellations or figure out which way to go if their lost.

OK, now, you're star gazing. Want to find another constellation?
