Pro Football Hall of Famer To Challenge NASA Employees To 'Go for the Goal'
John Stallworth a recent inductee to the National Football League Hall of Fame and All-Conference wide receiver at Alabama A&M University will be the keynote speaker at the Marshall Center's Combined Federal Campaign kickoff event Thursday at 10 a.m. The campaign, which raises money for charities and agencies in Huntsville and surrounding areas, is focused this year on "Caring for Communities Going for the Goal."
Who: Keynote speaker for the kickoff of the Combined Federal Campaign at NASAs Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., will be Alabama native John Stallworth, who was recently enshrined in the National Football Leagues Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. The former Alabama A&M University All-Conference receiver will be joined by the Alabama A&M marching band and cheerleading squad.
What: The annual Combined Federal Campaign at federal agencies, including the Marshall Center, raises money for charities and agencies in Huntsville and surrounding areas. This years theme at Marshall is Caring for Communities Going for the Goal, with a fund-raising goal of $475,000. Marshall Center campaign chairperson James Bailey is confident the Marshall community will continue its giving tradition. The CFC mission revolves around caring for our community, and we want our community to be a model for others to follow, he said.
