Well, you made it to the end of the Astronomy 101 course. Congratulations.

As I stated at the conclusion of the final lesson, this course wasn't meant to be a complete study of the field of astronomy, merely an overview, and a chance to pick up some new information. If it whets your appetite for learning, then it has accomplished its goal.

Still, you deserve recognition for making it through all the material.

On the next page, you will find a certificate in PDF (Adobe Acrobat) format. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print this certificate. It can be downloaded here. Once you have downloaded and installed Acrobat, Go here for your certificate and follow the instructions below. (You may want to print this page to have the instructions handy.

  1. Once the certificate has fully loaded, move your cursor to around the middle of the page, between the lines "This is to certify that" and "has successfully completed".
  2. When it changes to a text cursor ( I ), click with your left mouse button.
  3. When a blinking cursor appears, type your name. (If you have a shorter name, you may want to type a few spaces in front of it to make your name centered.) Note: Even though the certificate appears on your screen sideways, you can still type your name and it will show up in the correct direction, relative to the rest of the page.
  4. Click the printer icon on the tool bar to print your certificate.
  5. Frame it and hang it on your wall.
