The Visitor Center is located on Route 175, six miles from Route 13 and five miles from Chincoteague, VA. It is a 50-minute drive from Salisbury and Ocean City, MD and 90-minutes from the Chesapeak Bay Bridge Tunnel.

The Visitor Center at NASA Wallops Flight Facility provides an educational and fun experience for visitors of all ages.It offers many unique programs, special events, and educational opportunities sure to capture the interest and imagination of all. The exhibit hall and museum take you on a journey through past projects conducted at Wallops Flight Facility and carry you to the present where you will learn about their Sounding Rockets Program, Scientific Balloon Projects, Orbital Tracking Station and much more. Attend one of their fun filled children's programs, participate in an exciting model rocket launch or even view an actual sounding rocket launch from our newly installed observation deck. Wallops Educator Resource Center:
The Wallops Educator Resource Center gives educators the opportunity to access materials based on NASA's unique mission and results.
Educators such as teachers, home school teachers, and scout and church group leaders have the opportunity to preview, copy and/or receive NASA instructional products.
Services Available At The Wallops ERC:
Through the NASA Educator Resource Center Network (ERCN), NASA provides expertise and facilities to help educators access and utilize science, mathematics and technology instructional products aligned with national standards and appropriate state frameworks.NASA educational resources fall under learning categories such as:

The Wallops ERC houses a collection of NASA educational videotapes which may be copied for educational purposes. Video duplication must be done in person and the teacher must provide his/her own VHS tapes. Wallops Gift Shop:
Located inside the Visitor Center, the Gift Shop offers models, patches, games, clothing and a variety of NASA souvenirs. Gift Shop Hours of operation are the same as the Visitor Center.**The Gift Shop is open March - November**
