The Perseid Meteor shower is peaking this weekend. So if you are out and about in the evening hours, be sure to check it out.
Of course, the best viewing is to be had under dark skies, away from bright city lights.
Friday (tonight) may be the best viewing as the Moon will be rising later tonight, but the shower actually peaks late Saturday evening/early Sunday morning.
Happy sky gazing!

I can’t believe I forgot to view this. Was this one of those once in a lifetime things? I heard that meteor showers are more common than shooting stars and meteors. Is that true? If I still do have a chance to catch a meteor shower, when do you think would that be? Do you have any tips for those who want to watch a meteor shower but live in the city packed with bright city lights?
