Faking a Moon Landing

Friday September 19, 2008
In our forum, Sukhmandir Kaur said, "I don't care what 'Myth Busters' say, I still think the moon landing was faked (LOL) and so do some rocket scientists."

My question to him was "who are these 'rocket scientists'?" Playing with model rockets does not make someone a rocket scientist.

In another post, Sukhmandir goes on to say, "I was watching a documentary the other day about the astronauts landing on the moon. They showed a video of the flag moving as if the wind was blowing it, but there is no wind or air in space..."

While in still another post, he said, "I watched a moon hoax program where NASA rocket scientists said that we did not then nor to we now have the technology to prevent lethal exposure to the radiation belt surrounding the earth between it and the moon."

We've addressed many of these issues in the articla Great Moon Landing Hoax. Tell us what you think. Answer our poll question "Was the Moon Landing Faked?" Then be sure to share your opinions in our comments or forum.

People are retarded. Stupid retarded people.
What benefit would faking the moon even have? Did russia fake sputnik? Cmon, stop being a douchbag. Fucking idiot.

Sadly, the myth that the moon landings were faked will go away on the day that the world runs out of fools.

Don’t hold your breath.

(6) Jj Breen says:

It’s amazing that this is still alive. I have to agree with the “fool” comment .. when fools die - so will this … and/or … when we get a couple of more good satellites around the moon to take good pictures of the landing sites … then what …. they (NASA) sneaked them there??

Nick Green…

Are you drunk? Stupid? On drugs? Or all the above? The moon landing wasn’t faked. You want your name in the spotlight so bad you’re willing to insult your own country to do it? Shame on you.

(8) MarkieG says:

The “no wind on the moon” argument always bemuses me. Call me stupid, but there’s no wind in a TV studio either is there?

Some of the same “fools” that believe the moon landing never happened also believe the earth is flat. LOL.

Well: You know there is an old saying, “Don’t confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up.”
My father swore it was faked, but he was the epitome of the old saying.
I lost patience with the ‘nay sayers’ long ago.

(16) ray says:

well since hoax belivers are fools
1) why does NASA refuse to answer valid questions about why some of the anomolies exist
2) I think it is strange that almost all the original photos have been replaced with studio shots
3) funny how all the original footage is “missing”even the recently found footage in 16mm in Australia and a month or so later that goes”missing” to.
3)japan was going to show evidence of moonlandings, they show one site and explain that you can see ” kicked up” dust from take off..is that the best you can show to prove moonlandings???
4)so where did they put the Luna rover to get it on the moon??
5) you say most other anomalies have been explained…the explanations for the most common anomalies are whimsical at best..not at all close to proving that moonlandings happened

all Iwant is some decent explanations and iwill concede they happened until then(never, cause the landings on the moon didn’t occur”).
I dare you to debate me and prove me wrong..you cant..plain and simple..any takers????

September 24, 2008 at 8:36 am
(17) majic121947 says:

I looked at the explanations listed..each explanation can easily be disputed furthermore
1)why has all the original footage gone”missing”..even the recently found 16mm footage found in australia is now “missing as well”

2)there has never been a satisfactory explanation given for the multiple angles that shadows form

3)the technology wasnt that poor that the original footage was so grainy..whilst internal footage of the capsule is in colour and very clear

4) how can the hasselblads operate without sufficent insulation..not to ment the perfect shots from them when astronauts couldn’t even use the view finder

5) why have almost all the original photos in the nasa archive of apollo 11 been replaced with studio shots like the one of Auldrin which you use on your website..i do have the original so dont try to tell me thats it ok

man i could go on and on , but the filmsy explanations are always seen as such solid evidence that all the mystery has been explained away..absolute bull, very weak explanations indeed

as for the delay of radio signals..sure they might have been in orbit..but no one could pinpoint if the signal was moon based or just in orbit of the moon

take me on…please prove me wrong..but dont call me a fool if you cant support your story..I can!!!

September 24, 2008 at 9:22 am
(18) majic121947 says:

did you notice how the believers always have to resort to name calling..well done your ability to say something of substance.. like the moonlandings is non exsisting

September 24, 2008 at 9:42 am
(19) Andrew says:

It never ceases to amaze me just how fantastically moronic people can still be in this day and age. As if NASA has the time to answer nonsensical questions to a small margin of people who obviously have no life. I suppose I could exhibit doubt as to whether or not black holes actually exist, but I’m not going to hold my breath on Stephen Hawking to sit down and explain to me why I’m wrong. NASA doesn’t have to answer questions to anyone, they know they went to the moon Taking time to even discuss it with the small section of non-believers is not only a slap in the face to all the brave men and women who have devoted so much time to the space race, but also detracts from the important things they are currently engaged in. Perhaps we should insist they take their attention from such frivolous things as searching for near earth comets and asteroids. No matter what evidence will ever be shown to the public there will be people who will pile over the evidence and search for inconsistencies to decry the insurmountable proof that we did go to the moon. For those of you who still insist, carefully read this:
http://www.braeunig.us/space/hoax.htm

If you still have questions concerning the subject, I would suggest perhaps you should get a hobby.

September 24, 2008 at 8:37 pm
(20) Man on the moon says:

Aren’t you non-believers aware that they put reflectors on the moon during the Apollo 14 mission. We pointed lasers to measure the distance to discover the moon is slowing moving away from the earth at the rate of 38mm per year. Here are some pictures of the reflectors… (sorry if the link breaks)

September 25, 2008 at 8:52 am
(21) majic121947 says:

andrew, again someone has to resort to name calling..firstly we are talking about moonlandings..not blackholes and by the way most information on black holes is based on theory not proven fact..but nonetheless lets stick to subect matter..moonlandings
2) no i guess NASA is to important to answer questions why should they when the goverment insist on plausibly denying anything it chooses and dont try to tell me NASA is a public company.BTW they refuse to comment on ufo’s aswell but then again their totally figiments of peoples imaginations aren’t they
3) if you think I need a hobby, if your so comfortable with what you think you know..you have just brought yourself down to our”moronic” level to answer this so who needs a hobby more you or me?

and as for man on the moon..I like the link but most can argument can be easily debated and the photos of shadows and illumination are well choosen ..pity they didn’t pick the more obiviously parculiar photos, that would be interesting..while I wont pretend to have a list of credentials like that..at a quick glance 7 of the explanations can be as easily dismissed as much as they claim to answer the hoax.and I would love to be taken to task to go through all of them

September 25, 2008 at 10:03 am
(22) Jim McNair says:

While personaly i feel that the moon landings are fact.. not belief.. the civil exchange of ideas is never a bad thing. However, in this case it seems that we have two groups, the vast majority know the facts and a small group of people choose not to believe them. Everyone is intitled to express their opinion no matter how wrong it seems to those with differing veiws.

“danchamberlain says:

(24) Cesar says:

1) why does NASA refuse to answer valid questions about why some of the anomolies exist

There’s no anomalies.

2) I think it is strange that almost all the original photos have been replaced with studio shots

Theres’s no “studio shots”.

3) funny how all the original footage is “missing”even the recently found footage in 16mm in Australia and a month or so later that goes”missing” to.

Sh*ts happens.

3)japan was going to show evidence of moonlandings, they show one site and explain that you can see ” kicked up” dust from take off..is that the best you can show to prove moonlandings???

No. I can throw 380 kg of rocks and lunar dust in your head. That’s enough?

4)so where did they put the Luna rover to get it on the moon??

The are engineers. When I have my car filled with kids and sandwiches, I put the bikes in a structure outside the car. They did almost the same.

5) you say most other anomalies have been explained…the explanations for the most common anomalies are whimsical at best..not at all close to proving that moonlandings happened

The explanations where whimsical because the “anomalies” where whimsical too. Garbage in, garbage out. Or “you cannot expect intelligent questions of people that doesn’t understand the basics of physics”.

Most of the people that think it was a hoax don’t have any clue how it can be done, what ir requires, or how the real thing should be. They where fooled by themselves.

(25) Rex says:

So, let’s see… America covered up a 20 year deficit in space technology with Russia and then went on to design, engineer and manufacture technology and electronics that could help humans survive the Van Allen radiation belts… which Russia has, till today, not been able to catch up with and hence has never been able to send their own man to the moon till date.

ok, nasa wuld NEVER fake a moon landing so people can just calm down cuz it really happened.

(29) sherlockshah says:

The moon landings were faked! For starters, just think of the computers needed for a complete mission? If they really went how come they have not had one mission to go back its been over 30 years! THe whole talk about water on the moon, why such a mystery, if it was possible to go back 30 years ago it should be a piece of cake now with the technology advancement! LIke Plato said, its called the NObile LIE! Just like religion this was a bullshit way to create jobs and to look like usa is number 1 and to rob usa workers of tax money. The space station is the farthest a human can go and they know that! The radiation would kill. Now the new hype is coming the going of mars, it should be really easy to do this one with the current computer technology to fake this. IF it was possible scientist would want to go there and do experiments, but no one has gone back in the past 30 years. With our current techonology and video and camera the view would be amazing. Guess what they still wont go because the real people know the risks involed. Who wants to die? NOBODY! TO be closer to the sun by 300k miles is very dangerous. WE feel cooked when its 100 degree out imagine being 300k miles closer to the sun

October 10, 2008 at 9:43 am
(30) Jean says:

For the most part, people want to believe the big Lie. Skeptics are always in the minority but proven correct in the long run.We had hi tech camera’s and what did we get. Grainy pictures and a couple of rocks for billions of dollars. No pictures of the Universe from the moon or of Earth from the moon.See, A funny thing happend on the way to the moon. We Celebrate Columbus day for a minor accomplishment–wouldn’t you think they would
celebrate The Moon Landing ??? No because it was a hoax.

October 10, 2008 at 11:44 am
(31) Jean says:

Further proof that there was no landing is the fact that to slow the descent of the module they would have had to fire retro rockets which would have stirred up huge volumes of dust and with near zero gravity the dust would have been suspended for hours like a huge cloud. There was no dust, but when the foot prints were shown you could see that it was a sandy, dusty, loose base they were standing on. Desert. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that. The believers are going on faith, not facts and it is a misplaced faith with no facts to back it up. Mooned by Nasa. type that in your search engine.

i don’t think that people ever went in the space because there is no wind and in the video u see that the flag is not still but moving!!!!

(34) majic12947 says:

for those who say everyone was watching..yes they were..from earth like the rest ..so what your point??

why fake it? to be able to forfill that impossible promise to land man on the moon by decades end.

I’m sorry but this just shows how easy it was to pull off…. sheep are just sheep
