NASA Finds Water on Mars . . . Again

Thursday August 14, 2008
Paul Sutherland, of Skymania News, discusses the hype around NASA's recent announcement that the Phoenix probe had identified water vapour on Mars. He feels NASA is trying to stir up interest in the US lander's mission.

He does go on to say, "To be fair to the Phoenix team, their instrument was the first actually to "taste" the water. A sample of sticky soil warmed in a special oven gave off the vapour that they identified."

Paul is right, though. NASA has sent out many other press releases touting water findings. The fact that Phoenix has discovered more direct proof rather than the inferred proof of other missions does not make it more real.

The real question now is whether there is currently or ever has been life on Mars. More importantly, "Did NASA Kill Life on Mars?" or "Did NASA Put Life on Mars?" Tell us what you think.
