Couples Seek Sex in Space

Friday June 6, 2008
According to UPI, several couples have been in contact with New Mexico based Virgin Galactic hoping to be the first to have sex in space. They quote Will Whitehorn, president of the company, as saying, "We've had a variety of people inquire about it. One got in touch about a charter flight so they could be the first to have intercourse in space and get in the Guinness Book of Records."

Veteran science journalist Laura Woodmansee (author of "Sex in Space") says this curiosity is to be expected. "Many have wondered what it might be like to make love in space. The passionate couples who book flights to the very first space hotel will be more than excited to try zero-g sex."

Virgin's first planned space tourism flight is expected to take place in 2009.

Hmmm… how do we know that this would be the “first time?” With all those astronauts up there all these times - often men and women together (and who knows the orientation of all those guys for that matter). Especially on the space station - must get pretty lonely up there!

- But is anyone telling? Is anyone asking! ;-)
