In Brawley, CA, a man is in trouble with the law after being rescued from a chimney. According to My Way news, claiming he had gone up to the roof to look at stars, 27 year old Matthew Allen then says he accidentally fell down the chimney. After getting stuck near the bottom of the shaft, he removed his pants and started waving them to set off a motion detector. During two visits to the home, police did not notice anything, but when neighbors called to report a disturbance, police finally located Allen and brought in the fire department to help extricate him.
He now faces burglary charges for the incident. You see, the house wasn't his.
I enjoy stargazing, but I don't even climb onto my own roof for a better view. I recommend that he buy a good telescope.
