Did NASA Put Life on Mars?

During the early days of space travel, people were very concerned about the possibility of bringing back some forms of microbial life, which could cause serious problems for the population of Earth. The Apollo astronauts were all quarantined for a period of time after their return to prevent a catastrophe. Now, it seems we may have been looking in the wrong direction.

According to The Sunday Times, a British newspaper, "Far from discovering life on Mars, NASA may have put it there."
